Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This policy explains what information this independent 007 First Light guide collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and serve advertising.
§Who we are
007 First Light(“we”, “us”) is an independent, unofficial fan-made game guide published at 007-first-light.com. We are not affiliated with IO Interactive. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@007-first-light.com.
§What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not request personal details. The data involved is limited to:
- Usage analytics
- Aggregate, anonymised visit data via Google Analytics 4 (pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referrer) to understand what content is useful.
- Local progress
- Your mission/collectible checkmarks are stored only in your own browser (localStorage key flg.missions.v1). They never leave your device and never reach our servers.
- Advertising data
- Our advertising partners may collect data through cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads (see “Advertising” below).
- Server logs
- Standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, user-agent) kept briefly by our hosting/CDN for security and reliability.
§Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. We work with the third-party advertising network Adsterra, which may use cookies, web beacons and device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising from many vendors here:
§Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or CCPA (California) — including the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to opt out of the “sale” or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Because we hold no account data, most requests relate to advertising and analytics cookies, which you can control via the links above or your browser. To make a formal request, email contact@007-first-light.com.
§Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
§Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site, our partners, or the law change. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Questions? See our contact page.
