The 5 007 First Light Collectible Types
All 92 007 First Light collectibles fall into five types. Each type completes one silver trophy, and grabbing every type unlocks the gold A Collector’s Habit. The split below is confirmed across multiple guides.
- 36Playing Cards→ Casino Royale
The biggest set by far — playing cards tucked on shelves, desks and tables across almost every mission. Most of your hunt is cards.
- 23Intel / MI6 Files→ For Your Eyes Only
MI6 files and documents. Often sat on laptops, noticeboards and in locked offices you reach with the right gadget.
- 14Mementos→ Recovered Assets
Story objects worth picking up off the critical path. Easy to walk past without the Q-Watch highlight on.
- 10Postcards→ The World Is Not Enough
A small, location-flavoured set — only ten in the whole game, so each one matters for the type trophy.
- 9Legacy Items→ A Legacy of Spycraft
The rarest type: nine Legacy Items nodding to Bond history, usually the most tucked-away pickups in a mission.
- ★All 92→ A Collector’s Habit (gold)

When To Hunt — Gadgets & Missions
The mistake most guides bury: chasing collectibles too early. Two gadgets change the whole job, so the efficient route is to play the story, then sweep with the full kit. Nothing is missable, so there is no penalty for waiting.
- Unlocks · Chapter 4Q-Watch
Hold L1 / LB to highlight nearby collectibles in yellow. This is the single biggest reason not to grind collectibles before Chapter 4.
- Unlocks · Chapter 5Dart Phone
Opens some panels and routes that sit between you and a few pickups.
- Unlocks · Chapter 9Laser Strap
Cuts locks and sealed objects guarding a handful of collectibles — keep it equipped on your cleanup pass.
1. Play the campaign normally and grab anything the Q-Watch lights up after Chapter 4.
2. After the credits, open Chapter Select with every gadget, including the Laser Strap.
3. Sweep mission by mission, ticking each chapter off in the tracker until you hit 92.
Want the route to follow on that sweep? The 007 First Light walkthrough runs the missions in order, and the missions guide lists each mission’s collectible count.

Why Counts Differ — & The 91-of-92 Trap
The 92 total is solid — multiple guides agree on it, and on the type split. The friction is per-mission: the two biggest collectibles guides only line up on 7 of the 17 missions, and disagree on the other 10.
Some of those numbers have even shifted over time as guides re-counted after launch. That is exactly how you end up stuck on 91 of 92: you trust one chapter’s count, come up one short, and have no idea which mission actually owes you an item.
- A. Track by type, not by chapter
The game tells you 'Cards 35 / 36'. That points you straight at the missing type — far more reliable than any one chapter's disputed total.
- B. Sweep with the Q-Watch on
A 'missing' collectible is usually one you walked past. Re-run the chapter holding L1 / LB so every nearby item lights up.
- C. Treat per-chapter counts as a guide
Use our firm numbers where guides agree; treat the flagged ranges as 'somewhere in here', and let the type tracker close the gap.
We would rather show you a range than a confident number that sends you hunting for an item that isn’t there. Where the sources genuinely disagree, we say so.

007 First Light Collectibles FAQ
How many collectibles are in 007 First Light?
[ + ][ – ]
007 First Light has 92 collectibles in total, a figure confirmed across multiple community guides. They split into five types: 36 Playing Cards, 23 Intel files, 14 Mementos, 10 Postcards and 9 Legacy Items, and finding every one unlocks the gold trophy A Collector's Habit.
What are the collectible types in 007 First Light?
[ + ][ – ]
There are five 007 First Light collectible types, each tied to its own silver trophy: Playing Cards (Casino Royale), Intel / MI6 Files (For Your Eyes Only), Mementos (Recovered Assets), Postcards (The World Is Not Enough) and Legacy Items (A Legacy of Spycraft). Collecting all five types completes the gold A Collector's Habit.
Are any 007 First Light collectibles missable?
[ + ][ – ]
No — none of the 92 collectibles are permanently missable. The collectible trophies only check totals, so you can return to any mission through Chapter Select after the credits and clean up everything you skipped. Most players plan one focused collectibles sweep rather than searching mid-story.
When should I start collecting, and which gadgets help?
[ + ][ – ]
It is worth waiting until you unlock the Q-Watch in Chapter 4, which highlights nearby collectibles when you hold L1 / LB. The Laser Strap from Chapter 9 cuts locks blocking a few items, so the most efficient route is a single post-credits cleanup pass with your full gadget kit equipped.
Why do collectible counts differ between guides?
[ + ][ – ]
The 92 total is agreed, but the major collectibles guides disagree on the per-mission breakdown for most chapters — they only line up on 7 of the 17 missions, and some sources have even changed their own numbers over time. This guide shows a firm number only where sources agree and an honest range everywhere else, so you are never chasing a count that does not exist.
How many collectibles are in each 007 First Light mission?
[ + ][ – ]
Counts range from zero (the opening interlude) up to roughly a dozen in the largest missions such as The Past Never Dies. We list every one of the 17 missions with its collectible count — firm for the 7 missions where guides agree, and a flagged range for the 10 where they conflict. See the missions guide for the full per-mission detail.
